Build your own toboggan in this Saturday and Sunday workshop! They are suitable for racing or casual recreation. Since many participants build to race their toboggans in the U.S. National Toboggan Championships, our toboggan design meets the race requirements. Techniques covered in this workshop include steam bending, drilling, sanding, and riveting. We will discuss finishing techniques and materials, but teams will be responsible for finishing their own toboggans after the conclusion of the workshop.
Great for families, youth groups and those preparing for the toboggan championships! All tools and materials are provided with the exception of cushions for racing. This class is suitable for ages 12 and up. Participants under 18 must submit a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
