Steel House Projects is pleased to present Katie Kehoe’s Provisions for Buoyancy, a four day program of events. Her work explores the projected impacts of climate change and the adaptive reuse of materials.
Thursday June 7th, 12pm: Mid-Day lecture and Artist talk at the Island Institute. Located at 386 Main Street.
Friday June 8th: Evening solo performance action in Rockland. Itinerant walk along sites along the waterfront.
Saturday June 9th, 1-4pm: Performance as Social Practice workshop co-presented at The Apprenticeshop. The workshop is free. Attendees take part in exercises that explore and experiment with various materials and creative prompts to generate material for socially engaged art projects. Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably!
Saturday June 9th, 5:30-7pm: Artist Talk and reception Steel House Projects. Located at 639 Main Street.
Sunday June 10th, 11:30am-1pm: Afternoon Group Performance Action with Alexis Iammarino. The public and workshop participants are invited to gather in court yard at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. Located at 21 Winter Street.
